HallCounty Government Pharmacy, powered by On-Site Rx, has an exciting opportunityfor a dependable and caring pharmacist to work in Gainesville, Georgia. Theposition is considered PRN/Occasional.

Thepharmacy is open Monday - Thursday 8:30am – 6:00pm, Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm, andSaturday 8:30am – 12:00pm. Our distinctive work environment comes withopportunity for career growth and development with hours that support a healthywork – life balance.

On-SiteRx pharmacies offer a unique and innovative setting. We provide closed doorpharmacy services for self-insured employers which means we will only beservicing Hall County Government employees and their dependents. The setting issimilar in feel and operation to an independent retail pharmacy, but no outsideinsurance coverage is accepted – meaning issues with insurance carriers arelimited. 

TheStaff Pharmacist plays a critical role in pharmacy operations by providingpharmaceutical care, ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications,and offering clinical expertise to patients and healthcare providers. Thisposition is essential in promoting patient well-being and maintaining thehighest standards of pharmacy practice. The Staff Pharmacist is a vital memberof our healthcare team, contributing to patient well-being through theprovision of pharmaceutical care and expertise. This position requires a strongcommitment to pharmacy practice excellence, patient-centered care, andcompliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

EssentialDuties and Responsibilities

•Pharmaceutical Care: Review and verify medication orders, ensuring accuracy,appropriateness, and compliance with medical guidelines and patient-specificfactors.

•Medication Dispensing: Accurately and efficiently dispense prescriptionmedications, including labeling, packaging, and counseling patients on properusage and potential side effects.

•Patient Counseling: Provide comprehensive medication counseling to patients,addressing questions and concerns, and offering guidance on medicationadherence.

•Clinical Services: Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medicationtherapy, participate in medication therapy management, and provide clinicalconsultations as needed.

•Medication Management: Monitor patient profiles for drug interactions,allergies, and contraindications, taking appropriate action when necessary.

•Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance programs, conductmedication error reviews, and assist in maintaining a safe and compliantpharmacy environment.

•Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing patientinquiries, concerns, and providing information on over-the-counter medicationsand healthcare products.

•Pharmacy Operations: Assist in various pharmacy operations, including inventorymanagement, order verification, and adherence to all regulatory requirements.

•Collaboration: Collaborate with healthcare professionals and agencies toprovide comprehensive patient care, resolve medication-related issues, andparticipate in interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

•Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement,implement best practices, and monitor key performance indicators to enhancepharmacy operations and patient outcomes.

•Perform other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Doctorof Pharmacy (PharmD) or RPh degree from an accredited pharmacy school

•Current and valid pharmacist licensure in the state of practice

• Strongknowledge of pharmaceuticals, pharmacotherapy, and pharmacy law

•Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

•Excellent customer service skills

•Attention to detail and accuracy in payment processing and issuing medication

•Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment

•Proficiency in pharmacy software and computer systems

PhysicalConditions & Requirements

Work isprimarily conducted in a retail pharmacy setting, which may include standingfor extended periods. Exposure to various medications and healthcare equipment.Interaction with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to lift andcarry boxes or containers of medications and supplies (up to 25 pounds). Manualdexterity for handling medication containers, labels, and pharmacy equipment.Visual acuity for reading small print on prescription labels and using computerscreens.
